crusades

We conduct crusades where the Gospel has never been preached in cities, villages, and mountain areas. A well-planned crusade brings thousands to the Lord.

The crusades that are conducted in villages or remote mountain areas work with people who have very different needs. Simply having enough workers or electricity can make all the difference in these remote crusades. No matter how large or small, we work to meet the needs of the people through our crusades, ultimately reaping a harvest that can not be had by any other means.

NORTHERN INDIA MINISTRY:

We have a mission base in the state of Orissa in the far north of India. It was established with the help of one of our Bible School graduates. These areas are very difficult to reach due to cross cultural communication barriers and local traditions. His goals are to reach out to the poor by providing both physical and spiritual help. Every year more graduates will be joining his work in reaching these people. He has established a home base of operations, where new believers are being added to the church. We are planning to developproperty for a permanent church facility there once the work is fully established. We are also beginning to sponsor students from the Orissa area each year to be trained at Shalom Bible College in Trivandrum so they can return home prepared to minister.

CHURCH PLANTING:

After our crusades we immediately plant churches to provide discipleship and training for these new believers. Our approach to church planting is very straightforward. Once the campaign is complete we rent a home for a seasoned Pastor and his family. This home becomes a base for training and discipling strong believers. Once the church is established we prayerfully consider purchasing a property for a church building. This worship center then influences the community and provides a base for continuing the work within the area. Church planting is very important in a community. Those who become Christians through tracts, magazines, TV, radio, or other methods will now have a place of worship. There are thousands who get saved but have no place of worship in which they can grow in their faith with other believers. These newly established churches provide a valuable connection to the Body of Christ and a place where people will become strong in their faith and love for Jesus.

OPEN AIR OUTREACHES:

Most of India’s population live in rural and village areas, where holding a crusade can be difficult. Many people there do not have much education and are deprived of basic necessities. We find hundreds of people starving and living in poverty, sickness and nakedness in the rural and slums of India. As a team we distribute used clothing, food, and medicines. We entertain them with music and songs, and show Christian movies of Jesus's life and crucifixion, which has a great impact on these people. We then tell them about the love of Christ. Hundreds of people accept Christ as their personal Savior, and we lead them to a nearby church. This is done three to four times a week; in the street, the market place, junctions, colonies, school grounds - wherever there are people gathering. This type of meeting is not expensive, and generally 100 to 500 people per meeting gather to hear the singing and preaching and see the Jesus movie. Many step forward for prayer and to receive Christ as their Savior.

FEEDING PROGRAM:

This New Year we have started another project, providing food packets in hospitals. There are hundreds of people in government hospitals who are starving with not even one meal a day. God has put this on our hearts and every Saturday and Sunday we provide food packets for 50 hospitalized people. Witnesses of this ministry are always very grateful to us for doing this, and they often give us the names of more people who are really in need of food. Unfortunately, due to our limited finances, we can only provide for 50 people for two days. If possible, we are praying to be able to provide for them every day.
